To promote well-being in the heart of Paris, IKEA France launched “La Sieste”—a mobile urban initiative that gave Parisians the chance to enjoy revitalising power naps in compact sleep capsules. These eight mobile nap pods were installed on trailers pulled by electric bikes and deployed throughout the city.
T3 Display Systems was selected to help design and manufacture the modular structures, ensuring mobility, comfort, and visual impact.
IKEA’s brief called for a lightweight, modular structure that could:
Be transported via e-bike trailers
Deliver a visually appealing, cocoon-like space
Reflect IKEA’s brand identity and sustainability ethos
Be easy to install, maintain, and redeploy
T3 engineered each pod using its modular framework with custom curved profiles and angled joints to create the smooth, enveloping form of the sleep capsules. the ideal Brand Activation. Key features included:

Large entry doors and windows to ensure comfort and daylight
Tool-free Twist & Lock assembly for rapid installation
Custom finishes to match IKEA’s visual standards
The structure was then outfitted with IKEA’s signature interiors: beds, duvets, pillows, curtains, and side tables—creating an instant sanctuary within a mobile unit.
