Tool-Free
Modular Display
Framework.
A patented twist-lock aluminium modular display system — tool-free by design, infinitely reconfigurable by nature. From shell scheme upgrades to full island stands, from retail installations to illuminated flooring. One system. No limits.
The Original
Modular Display Framework.
A modular display framework is a system of aluminium profiles joined by reusable connectors, so the same components can be rebuilt into a different structure for every show. T3 Frame does this with a globally patented twist-lock connector that needs no tools: profiles come in standard 245mm, 490mm, 857.5mm and 1225mm lengths plus custom sizes, carry SEG fabric, rigid panel, magnetic or printed graphics, and reconfigure indefinitely.
The T3 modular display framework is the structural foundation behind some of the most ambitious display environments built in the UK and Europe. Designed for modular exhibition stands, retail displays, brand activations, and permanent interior environments. Tool-free by design, infinitely reconfigurable by nature — the T3 Framework is the single system that does all of it, and the reason every T3 build is a genuinely tool-free exhibition stand. Available as a shell scheme upgrade from any UK venue, as a bespoke exhibition stand, or as a full custom island stand — built and installed by our own team as manufacturer-direct exhibition stand builders.
★ Globally Patented Twist-Lock Technology — Protected Across UK, EU, USA & Beyond

"The T3 Framework isn't a display product — it's an infrastructure decision. When a client chooses T3, they're choosing a system that will still be building their stands in fifteen years, carrying every campaign in between, reconfiguring for every venue. The twist-lock mechanism is the same whether you're building a 2×2m shell scheme upgrade at the BDC or a 200sqm island at ExCeL. One decision. One system. Indefinite return."— Philippe Van Ameyde, Managing Director, Tecna Display Ltd
How The Twist-Lock
System Works.
Every T3 display is built on the same fundamental mechanism: a precision-engineered twist-lock connector that joins aluminium extrusion profiles together without tools, without bolts, and without specialist knowledge.
The connector inserts into the profile end, twists 90° to lock, and holds rigid. The same action unlocks it — making assembly and disassembly equally fast, equally simple, and equally repeatable across hundreds of uses. Where a structure needs additional stiffness, rigidisers SCLMPX reduce stress on the profile-to-connector joint.
The connection is rigid, stable, and consistent — producing display structures that hold their form under the pressure of a busy exhibition hall, a high-footfall retail environment, or a live event. Available at Edinburgh EICC, SEC Glasgow, Bristol and every UK venue.
No other system rivals T3 in terms of installation speed. Because no tools are ever required, any team member can build it. Enhance your display with integrated LED lighting using the T3 Wandlight. Read more on tool-free exhibition stands. Use our brief guide to get started.

Sizes, Codes
& What's In A Stand.
T3 Frame is specified by profile type and length, not sold as a fixed kit — which is why the same system builds a 2m tabletop display and a 200m² island. Standard profile lengths are listed below; custom lengths are extruded to order, so your design is never constrained to standard sizes.
| Specification | Detail |
|---|---|
| Standard tube lengths | 245mm · 490mm · 857.5mm · 1225mm (centre to centre). Custom lengths extruded to order. |
| Standard curves | 490mm and 980mm 90° curved profiles. |
| Custom curves | Any diameter from 600mm upward, convex or concave, manufactured to a 0.5mm tolerance. See design without limit. |
| Custom angles | Engineered to any degree — not limited to the 45° and 90° connectors standard modular systems offer. |
| Colour finishes | Standard silver and white. Powder-coated or anodised in any RAL or matched corporate colour. |
| Maximum structure height | Up to 6 metres, raised in sections. Bracing and support configuration specified per build. |
| Maximum lightbox size | Up to 3.5m × 4m, with up to 50 bulbs powered from a single mains plug. |
| Shell scheme clearance | Finished display wall sits just 60mm from the venue partition. |
| Graphic types | SEG tensioned fabric · rigid panel (Foamex, Dibond, acrylic) · semi-rigid PVC · magnetic · printed fabric · glass and acrylic inserts. |
| Material | Aluminium profiles with plastic connectors and inserts. 100% recyclable at end of life. |
| Outdoor use | Supported using additional clamps and counterweights, specified per site and wind loading. |
The Six Core Profiles
Every T3 structure is built from one or more of these six profiles. The profile you choose determines which graphics it carries and how much it weighs.
Fusion FNT
Combines Airframe and Channel — takes both rigid panels and SEG fabric. The most versatile profile and the one used in the majority of T3 builds.
Channel CHT
Built for SEG tensioned fabric with silicone edging. Channels on all four sides allow multiple extrusions to be fitted to one profile — the standard for backlit displays.
Airframe AFT
The original seamless T3 profile. Carries rigid panel or roll-up graphics using magnetic or Velcro tape. Clean, minimal finish for portable stands.
Ultralite Channel UCT
Plastic version of the Channel profile — used where weight is the priority, such as hanging banners and roadshow display stands.
Ultralite Fusion UFT
Plastic version of the Fusion profile, used mainly for lightweight plinths and counters carrying both rigid and fabric graphics.
Flexi-Frame UFXC
A flexible profile shapeable into curves and non-standard orientations for curved display walls and organic forms. Magnetic roll-up graphics only.
Fitted Extrusions
Extrusions clip into the channel of a profile and are secured with a bayonet end fitting — so a single structure can carry different graphic types on different faces. The main ones are 45° Silverlite (virtually seamless SEG edge, used for luxury retail), Comb (invisible joins between fabric panels, so large graphics print in manageable sections), Lightbox, Shelf Bracket, Panel Shelf, Multiuse internal corner CHMUIC, and the Double Sliding Door SDD.
What A 3×3m Stand Actually Contains
A worked example, straight from our product brochure. This parts list builds a 3×3m stand — and reconfigures into six further stand layouts with no additional components bought.
| Component | Qty |
|---|---|
| Fusion Tube 1225mm | 36 |
| Fusion Tube 245mm | 31 |
| Fusion Tube 857.5mm | 22 |
| Fusion Tube 490mm | 12 |
| Channel twist-lock 857.5mm | 4 |
| Airframe curve 490mm 90° | 9 |
| Airframe curve 980mm 90° | 3 |
| Connectors | 56 |
| 38mm static feet | 20 |
| LED spotlights SPLCHR | 6 |
| Adjustable shelf supports | 4 |
| Monitor support hooks MSH | 2 |
One parts list, six stands. This is the whole argument for modular: the second show costs graphics only. See reusable exhibition stands for the reuse economics.

A University. Not By Us.
Most display systems ask you to take structural performance on trust. T3 Frame has been independently load tested by the University of West London, in a programme of more than twenty tests run by Professor Ali B-Jahromi, Professor of Civil Engineering, Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers.
Every test was repeated three times and averaged. The programme covered double and triple frame configurations under axial, eccentric point, line and distributed loads; connector pull-out; flooring with three different foot types; and a dedicated test for mounting LED monitors.
Recommended safe working loads sit well below measured failure points in every case, and vary by configuration — which is why we provide project-specific engineering data rather than a single headline number. Ask for it when you brief us.
Selected recommended safe working loads, in the configurations tested:
Figures relate to the specific configurations tested and are not a substitute for project-specific engineering advice. Rigging, suspended elements, tall structures and outdoor builds are specified individually. See all the test results and download the report →

Building With T3,
Not Just Buying It.
A large share of the people on this page do not need a stand — they build them, design them or print for them. If that is you, the relevant facts are different.
- Trade and reseller pricing. T3 supplies stand builders, contractors and display companies across 40+ countries on trade terms, with approved partner status and a badge you can use in your own pitches. Become a T3 reseller →
- One extrusion, every graphic. The Fusion profile takes SEG fabric, rigid panel, magnetic and Velcro-mounted graphics from the same tube, so you print what your client wants rather than what the frame allows. SEG spec sheet →
- Graphic tolerances and profiles published. Full extrusion drawings, channel dimensions and graphic sizing are in the datasheet, so your studio can set up artwork without a phone call.
- Custom lengths, curves and angles to order. 0.5mm curve tolerance from 600mm diameter, any angle, any RAL — you quote the design your client actually asked for. Design without limit →
- Demo kit available. A physical sample kit for your showroom or sales meetings, so a client can twist and lock it themselves.
- Stock and lead times you can plan around. Manufactured in Harlow and Trappes, standard profiles held in stock, four to six weeks for a full build and faster when it matters.
“We design in T3 Systems because one extrusion does it all. It can be endlessly repurposed to support SEG, Velcro, and more.”
“Exceptional product and unbelievable customer service. Would highly recommend them for any stand builder.”
What A T3 Frame
Actually Costs.
Most display suppliers won't put a number on a page. We will. T3 Frame is quoted per project because structures are built from the profiles your design needs — but the ranges below give you a realistic starting point before you speak to anyone.
| Configuration | Typical size | Indicative range |
|---|---|---|
| Shell scheme upgrade T3 Shell-Kit clad onto an existing venue shell | 3m × 3m | from £1,000 |
| Space-only stand Freestanding walls, counter, graphics | 9m² – 18m² | £5,000 – £12,000 |
| Island stand 360° build, storage, AV, lighting | 18m² – 36m² | £9,000 – £20,000 |
| Large / bespoke build Towers, arches, rigged elements | 50m²+ | from £22,000 |
Indicative trade-direct ranges for guidance only, excluding VAT, graphics artwork, transport and installation unless quoted. Retail and reseller pricing differs by market — if you are working with a T3 approved partner in your territory, they will quote for your region. Per Show, Not Per Purchase.
Buying a stand looks expensive next to hiring one — until you divide it by the number of times you will use it. A T3 Frame is bought once and reconfigured into a different design for every show, so the honest comparison is cost per appearance, and the number that matters is which show you break even on. Move the sliders. If you would rather not own one at all, that is a legitimate answer too — see hire vs buying.
Cost Per Show Calculator
Set your stand size, how often you exhibit, and how long you plan to keep the stand. We will show your cost per show against buying a custom build every time.
How this is worked out (illustrative): owning a T3 Frame at £620 per m² bought once, with graphics renewed at £90 per m² per show, compared against hiring a comparable modular stand at £375 per m² per show — a published UK market rate. Excludes VAT, floor space, transport and installation. Guide figures for orientation, not a quotation: your actual figure depends on specification and we price every project individually.

T3 Shell-Kit:
Transform Your Shell Scheme.
Shell scheme stands are typically among the least inspiring spaces at any exhibition. The T3 Shell-Kit changes that — cladding your shell scheme with branded display graphics, creating finished display walls just 60mm from the partition and maximising your usable floor space. Available at Edinburgh EICC, SEC Glasgow, Bristol, NEC Birmingham and all UK venues.
The Shell-Kit clamps tool-free onto any standard shell scheme framework using the shell clamp SHCLMP, requires no fixing to the venue structure, and disassembles into manageable lengths for transport. Also read our shell scheme vs space only guide to help with your planning.
Shell Scheme Upgrades →More Than
Just A Lightbox.
Standard lightboxes are rectangular, fixed in size, and largely interchangeable. T3 lightboxes are none of those things.
Using a dedicated lightbox extrusion and daisy-chain LED system, T3 builds freestanding lightboxes up to 3.5m × 4m — powering up to 50 bulbs from a single mains plug — in any shape, and with features standard systems can't accommodate: internal corners, angled faces, integrated shelving, window cut-outs, and compound forms that function as architectural display pieces. See how this works in our luxury retail display, backlit exhibition stands and shop-in-shop solutions.

T3 Frame In
Colour.
Available in a full range of standard profile and connector colours, plus a custom powder-coat option for brands requiring a precise match to their visual identity.
Coloured profiles are designed to be seen — contributing to the display's aesthetic as an architectural element. Particularly effective in retail environments, pop-ups, and luxury retail environments where the structure itself is part of the brand statement. Used by Duca del Cosma (T3 Deco white) at PGA Show Orlando.
Modular Frame Systems
For LED & Screens.
The T3 Framework accommodates any screen or AV equipment through three dedicated mounting accessories: monitor support hooks MSH for straightforward screen mounting, full VESA-mount brackets, and an LED arm bracket designed specifically for LED tile panels.
How much screen weight can a modular frame carry? It is the question every AV-heavy brief starts with, and most modular suppliers answer it vaguely. T3 screen mounting was included in the independent University of West London test programme, with a dedicated eccentric line-load test for LED monitor installations. Safe working loads are configuration-specific and issued with your design — ask for them at brief stage.
Size and weight are rarely the constraint. The internal SEG corner accessory CHMUIC allows screens to be inset flush into the display surface for a clean, integrated finish. Essential for shop-in-shop environments, island exhibition stands and conference stage builds. Used by Lancôme and Kiehl's for 86" screens across European retail environments.

Illuminated Flooring
Like Never Before.
T3 flooring panels use the same modular profiles and twist-lock connectors as the rest of the system — producing raised, illuminated floor platforms that integrate directly with your display structure and can be elevated on adjustable feet for level installation on any surface.
The floor structure was independently tested at the University of West London to a recommended safe distributed load of 2,000kg in the configuration tested — comfortably into vehicle territory — though capacity is governed by the feet rather than the frame, as the full test results show. Combined with the T3 Wandlight RGB system, light emanating upward through the floor creates event environments impossible to replicate with standard exhibition products. Available at ExCeL London, NEC Birmingham and all UK venues.
Built To Last.
Not Built For Landfill.
The T3 Framework is 100% recyclable aluminium — extruded locally in the UK and France, designed to be reused across dozens of events, and built to last indefinitely. It is a display system whose return on investment improves with every additional deployment.
Reconfigure. Reuse. Reinvent. After each use, simply dismantle your T3 display and reassemble it for the next event in a completely different configuration. Its modular design lets you adapt, reinvent and rethink the structure while retaining the frame — campaign refresh cost is print only. Read our 15 strategies for sustainable exhibiting.
